Class Description

Vinyasa Flow

Yoga class for everyone. Basic yoga poses that will build balance, strength, flexibility and over all body alignment all designed to calm the body and mind. This class can be made as challenging as you want. Modifications are given to get the best practice for you.

Power Vinyasa Flow

A challenging practice that allows you to feel every sensation in your body and then allows you to move with that sensation. Slow your practice down and get in touch with your intuitive mind.​​​​​​​​ Build a strong body with a power practice.

​

Stretch and Flow

A yoga practice focusing on waking up the body and connecting breath while warming up and getting more length in your muscles. 

​

Chair Yoga 

A gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. Perfect for anyone unable to participate in a traditional yoga class.

Hip Hip Hooray

A basic flow class with emphasis on the hips.  Hip openers, hip releases and pelvic floor support.

​Basic Yoga Flow

The basics of yoga. A class for beginners or anyone building strength, focus and balance from a softer level.

Stretch & Strengthen 

Build strong muscles while working through a series of muscle lengthening poses.  

​

Morning Stretch 

an hour of static stretches to open up hips and shoulders and lengthen muscles. A perfect class for every body.

​​Restorative 

Restorative poses designed to renew, regenerate and remove stress, tension and underlying trauma that cause havoc on the body.

Jennifer Klinect

 RYT 500

Jennifer started teaching aerobics at Elaine Powers right after graduating high school. She attended Bowling Green State University studying sports medicine and teaching fitness classes at the University Recreation Center. In 1988 she attended Joe Weider Pro Muscle Bodybuilding & Fitness Camp where she completed a course in bodybuilding, weightlifting, fitness & nutrition. Knowing she wanted to continue in the fitness path, she got her aerobic certification in 1990 with Exer-Safety Association (ESA). Continuing her education, she got her ESA certification in personal training and step aerobics in 1994. She is also certified with Bfit University for Yoga, Aerobics and Step Aerobics. Jen graduated from the Brahmrishi Yoga Teacher Training with her RYT 200 in 2006 and her E-RYT 200 and RYT 300 in 2019. She has been practicing yoga for 28 years and teaching fitness for 40 years. 

Alma Franks

RYT 200

Alma graduated from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health Teacher Training with her RYT 200 hours and 50 hours of Pranayama Yoga. She has studied Iyengar Yoga with Bryan Legere, Asana Yoga with Rodney Yee and Chair Yoga with Peggy Cappy. 

Alma has been studying and practicing yoga for over 40 years and has attended many classes and workshops over those years.

Alma brings an abundance of knowledge and she has a passion for sharing with others. Alma also teaches in her own personal home studio. 



Colleen Hohl

RYT 200

Colleen received her yoga teacher training in Asheville, NC at the Asheville Yoga Center under the direction of Stephanie Keach. She is a RYT 200 hour instructor trained in all types and levels of yoga from chair to Bikram (hot yoga). She enjoys introducing people to the basics and benefits of yoga and the need for a consistent practice. She has been practicing yoga since 2001. She enjoys the benefits of a Yin yoga practice along with the traditional Hatha yoga. 

She is a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Psychology. Enjoys golfing and mountain biking. 

She believes if you lengthen your spine, you will lengthen your life. 

Angela Lukow

RYT 200

Angela received her yoga teacher training (RYT 200) from The Abbey under the direction of Caroline Williams in 2021. She is trained primarily in Vinyasa yoga, but has experience in hot yoga, yin and chair yoga. Angela graduated with a BS from Allegheny College and a Doctor of Medicine from Temple University. She is a practicing anesthesiologist with a pediatric specialty. She is passionate about the benefits of yoga as it pertains to the mind, body and spirit. Ultimately her goal is to bring those benefits to all types of people, including those who may not traditionally have access to a yoga class. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking and traveling.

Marisa Bowerman

RYT 200

I'm Marisa, originally from New York. I moved to Ohio in 2007 and started my family. I have 3 kids. We love to go to the beach, be anywhere outside and try new adventures. I'm a Mental Health Advocate and I believe there is nothing more valuable than life.

I have practiced yoga for over 15 years, received my RYT certification in 2021 and began teaching. Yoga has given me a strong mental and physical foundation.

​

I enjoy teaching many different types of classes. My style can probably be defined as New York passion meets California vibes. My goal is to make my students feel safe, empowered, calm & centered and to know their incredible worth.
